Our Story

When Janae was in middle school, her family purchased a golden retriever puppy named Sandy and began a “golden era” that has never stopped. Sandy was an loyal companion during farm chores, country walks, 4-H obedience training, and more. Her amazing temperament and impressive intelligence made her a great candidate for breeding. Janae received her first experiences caring for puppies from helping with Sandy’s golden retriever litters.

Fast forward years later, and after establishing a home of our own, we adopted a puppy from Sandy’s line named Chloe. She had her first litter of AKC golden retriever puppies in 2012 and we’ve had goldens in our home ever since. We can’t imagine owning any other breed!

We specialize in golden retriever and standard goldendoodle puppies raised conscientiously in “small batches.” Our dogs are in our home and are part of our family. We live in the Des Moines area and typically have no more than one litter per year. Our puppy area is in a climate-controlled garage steps from our kitchen and our pups are given frequent outdoor playtimes to explore our fenced yard. We intend for our puppies to be placed in loving homes and we raise them with lots of hugs and attention.
